Get ready for investigation on the FRINGE

When I started writing the NightShade Forensic FBI files series, I thought it would be 6 books.

READ ON FOR RECS, BEHIND THE SCENES FROM TWO AUTHORS, AND SOME JUICY DETAILS…

I had it all planned out. (Obviously, the best laid plans…) And here I am 15 books later.

The book I thought would be #3 turned into #6. The characters I thought were side characters for one book came back and are now full fledged members of the team. Now, I’m working on wrapping up the series.

I know I don’t write as fast as you read, so let’s get some recommendations on the board. (Or, if you’re here because of the other recs led you to this page, then you should read the NightShade Forensic FBI Files… Because it clearly has all the stuff you love, and book #16 is about to come out!)

First, lets talk TV…

Did you binge watch Fringe?

Did you know immediately that something was up with Walter? (I just realized, I also have a Walter! ha.) Wait each week and recognize the basement that looks a lot like the basement in any Behavioral Analysis Unit show? If you flipped about the name “Olive” on the wall or how we got to see Nimoy again in a fantastic role… Then this book series is for you.

It’s time to delve into the Bishop / Special Crimes Unit novels.

With 20 books and more variations than numbers, this series will grab you and hold you for as long as you want.

Working with a psychic who helps the police catch killers, Cassie is content with helping—until she makes a terrible mistake and an innocent child dies. After she flees to a small North Carolina town, hoping that a quiet life will silence the voices that invade her unwilling mind, she finds it’s not enough. Cassie’s abilities know few boundaries. And she’s become certain—as no one else can be—that a murderer is stalking Ryan’s Bluff.

Readers LOVE this series, often asking author Hooper if she’ll be writing more, or why she deviated from the original setup. Go here to read a fantastic write-up for fans about the Bishop / Special Crimes books from the author herself.

★★★★★ reviews – “I loved this book. It was fast paced from the very beginning. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. There were lots of twists and turns. Looking forward to book two…There are gruesome murders, a little bit of romance and a lot of ESP.”

Her series is available at all the major retailers (An author after my own heart!) and you can find the links to all of those on her Bishop books page.

On the other hand, if you’ve already read the Bishop books, and you want more, try out my NightShade Forensic FBI Files series.

15 books and counting. I started this series as a vague idea, something I wanted to write, but couldn’t make it work. I was in forensics school when it came to me… How to make werewolves scientifically plausible. The conservation of mass problem was huge to me. Anyone watch True Blood and Joe Manganiello became an 80lb wolf? Where did the rest of him go, and who folded his clothes???  I couldn’t deal with it. But I put the pieces together, and honestly, once I had Donovan’s physiology, I knew the story. I began writing book 1 – Under Dark Skies – almost immediately. (Though I will admit titling it gave me a bit of struggle.)

If you’re an Amazon reader you can get all the versions there.

If you’re a Kobo plus reader you can read the entire series with your subscription!

Happy reading!
